FOBDA Fuels Investments in Africa: Self-Awareness, now in Eswatini.

It becomes so impressing to see that most of the places we hold our workshops, students are more concerned with investments not employment. But the main problem is that they lack encouragement on how to carry on with these ideas. They have these big pictures but they don’t how to implement them. Some most famous stories we are collecting are more about being discouraged by either friends or parents. Some students complain that their parents want them to go to school and have a good job, not a business.

We hope FOBDA has come at the right time to address these issues and warn people against the dangers of overreliance on employment. The focus of the organization is to make Africa realize that we cannot develop this continent if we don’t think of planting many industries/businesses that will help us to have more expert trading opportunities than import trading activities.

Yesterday, Monday 9^th, FOBDA visited Ka-Zakhali High school in Manzini Eswatini where we conducted our workshop under the theme Self-awareness. It was such an impressing day to meet students who are also from different countries giving us their different views of employment and investments. Students have great and incredible visions in the field of investments but they lack encouragement. There are many impressing stories that Ka-Zakhali students gave that restrict them from prospering with their dreams.

One of the major problems is lack of self-awareness. We discovered that many students are not aware of their skills, opportunities, abilities, and resources that are always around them. This makes them start thinking they are unable to perform certain things. People have these opportunities everywhere. When you try to build a network system with friends, that’s when you will see you have opportunities everywhere.

The second major problem is fear. We have discovered that many students are driven by fear. They don’t want to try things because they fear that people will laugh at them when they fail. They fear to take risks because they are not aware of what will come out from that risk they can take today.

These are problems are affecting most Africans, hence destructing their ability to explore wonderful opportunities in their lives. Foundation for Business Development in Africa (FOBDA) is, therefore, wants to address these issues so that people should be aware of these opportunities and do not fear to take risks.
